MONGOLIAN-TURKISH JOINT ECONOMIC AND TRADE COMMITTEE (JETC) CONVENED IN ULAANBAATAR
The 8th session of the Mongolian-Turkish Joint Economic and Trade Committee (JETC) was held in Ulaanbaatar on March 19-21, 2018. The Mongolian delegation was headed by H.E. Mr. Nyamaa Enkhbold, Minister of Defense of Mongolia and the Turkish delegation was headed by H.E. Mr. Hakan Çavuşoğlu, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey.
At the meeting, the parties agreed to use economic, trade and investment potentials of the two countries, particularly to focus more on encouraging business contacts between small and medium sized enterprises.
The Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry will collaborate with the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey, Turkish Exporters Assembly and Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey as well. In this context, the sides agreed to hold a bilateral meeting this year and to implement program for sharing experiences in developing free trade zone.
At the end of the meeting, the chairs signed a protocol.
