MONGOLIA CONSIDERS TURKEY AS ITS THIRD NEIGHBOR
While participating in the program of Turkish channel “Kanal B” on December 5th of 2018, Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Baği of the International Relations Department of the Technical and Technical University of the Middle East, spoke about the panel titled "Eurasia from the Perspective of Turkey and Mongolia" jointly organized by the Embassy of Mongolia and the Eurasian Studies center (AVIM). He said “Mongolia is a country “sandwiched” between Russia and China. The most interesting thing about Mongolia's foreign policy is that Turkey is considered as its third neighbor. Under this policy, it seeks to pursue an open foreign policy through Turkey. The next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries. And both sides set a goal to elevate the bilateral relations and cooperation to the level of strategic partnership. Turkish Airlines conducts direct flights to Central Asian countries and direct flights to Mongolia would contribute to the bilateral political, economic and cultural relations. There is a necessity to intensify the Turkish-Mongolian relations and cooperation”.
