MONGOLIAN ACADEMICIAN WON AWARD FROM TURKISH ACADEMY OF SCIENCES
Leading scientific worker of the Institute of Language and Literature of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences (MAS), State Honored Scientific Figure and Academician L.Bold has received the Social and Human Sciences award from the Turkish Academy of Sciences and was presented by President Erdoğan at the ceremony held in the Presidential Palace. The award has been conferred upon since 2015 in three fields. After making a decision to become a Turkologist in 1972, Academician L.Bold had lived in Khuvsgul taiga for six years to research and collect the words of Reindeer herders in Khuvsgul. Moreover, he studied about ancient Turkish language and monuments between the 7th and 8th centuries. As a result, he published the four-volume book named ‘Heritage of Orkhon Inscription’. He also made a contribution to creating ‘Great explanatory dictionary of Mongolian language’ and online version of the book.
